4 Easy Tips To Pimp Your Blog!
Blogging has quickly become an extremely popular route for all types on internet users and more so a tool for serious marketers to rake in serious dollars.Please allow me to give you some free tips for a better blog. First of all, you want your blog to get traffic and serve a purpose right?
ie. You want it as a link in your business to assist in it's growth and to make money!
Blogs have rapidly changed in the past 6 months. They aren't only a place to write up about boring news (no-one wants to read anyway) anymore.
Blogs are money makers! Don't forget it.
They are an awesome business model for all levels of marketers - from newish marketers to full on professional bloggers.
Here are some tips for a better blog:
1. Have a nice modern color scheme. I recently changed mine from dull white and grey to a very sleek and modern style with COLOR! I use blogger so they let you choose from a selection of themes. Find a good one that suits your niche.
2. Keep all the content related. People go to blogs to read about a certain topic and if they see more info on that topic, they're more likely to stay. The tighter your niche, the better. Because the internet is growing so big, people look for really specific things these days. Niches are getting tighter.
3. Have your opt-in box on your blog. Remember, the money is in the list. Losing traffic at your blog is a terrible mistake. Unless it's really top of the mill info, people will soon forget about it. Capture those visitors so you can contact them later.
4. Keep updating it with fresh content. Search engines love blogs because they are SEO friendly in design and (usually) have fresh content being added on a regular basis. Some bloggers say you should post everyday. It's a good idea! I'm too lazy so I only get around to it once a week.
*Bonus Tip 5. Ping it! After you update your blog, go to some free ping web sites and submit your blog. They send a 'ping' to bookmarking sites and the like such as Technorati and alerts them that you have updated your blog. It only takes a few seconds. I use www.pingoat.com There's a few others such as www.pingomatic.com
but they don't cover as many web sites as pingoat.
