Are you running a business or a busy-mess? Online business management tip

Attention all online and small business owners who seem to be getting no-where.

Today I want to talk about a problem that a lot of entrepreneurs I feel suffer from... managing and organization. I don't know about everyone, but I'm guessing many of us feel like our business(es) is in a complete mess and we struggle to see it simply get things done and grow it as we had planned....or at least I do sometimes.

Getting organized in your business is important for your productivity. And you know how important productibity is in business. I'm sure you know this one too, "time is money". Ever since I started online, I have been concious of my time...in particular, I constantly think "What would be the best thing to do for my business today..."

Even though I have been marketing online for over 18 months now, I'm far from the perfect business guru...well as far as organization is concerned I'm not.

For me, time management is callenging. I am not working full-time in the internet marketing game yet, but I still spend a heck of a lot of time on it. Somedays I feel like I spent my time wisely and got some decent work done, and other days I feel like I got nothing done.

Another thing that I'm constantly trying to improve is managing my downloads. I download at least one ebook or article pack or whatever a day (after 18 months it really adds up), and make a new folder or sub folder for it. I've re-calibrated my downloading and saving system and it's much better but I'm still not entirely satisfied. It still takes me a while to track things down.

Luckily for me, I have a reasonably good memory which really helps and I belive it's an attribute necessary for success. I would still love to improve my memory....

"It's not remembering things that is the problem, it's recalling them at the right time...."

There are a few more areas of my business' management side that I'd like to improve. For example: spend less time reading email, reducing spam, sticking to one idea, offering good vaklue and content to my suncribers, updating my blog(s) daily :) and a handful of others.

In conclusion, if we want to see our business expand, an important part not to overlook is our business managent and productivity.

Building a business is like building a house. You must have a plan and follow it until you finish. Then you can sell it or keep it and build another better one.


Keep focus of the end result and don't stop until you get there.

How to increase web site conversion with Testimonials

People surfing and shopping on the internet live with fear of being scammed. It's a real problem. When it comes to selling online, web masters must remove all fears people have about purchasing online. You need to prove that you are reliable and that what you are selling them is actually good!

That's where testimonials come in to help increase credibility, therefore, increasing the probability of cusotmers making a purchase.

When you can see that people have actually bought the product before and have had a good experience using it, it gives the prospect reassurance. They may think, "If this many people say what great value it is, or how it helped them so much to do .....whatever, then it MUST be good", so the doubt is removed and they feel good about purchasing.

Another reason testimonials work, is because people like to copy people. They think "WOW! So many people have got this, I need to get it too!" People don't want to think they are missing out on anything. Fear is a powerful motivator in humans and it can be used to trigger poeple to buy.

Niche Marketing - Finding the "Right Niche"...

Niche marketing is the term labeled to marketing to a specific group of people who have one common interest. A 'niche' can be literally anything - if people are doing it, it's a niche! From hobbies to life styles, business to leisure...the range of a "Niche" are endless.

A popular saying that goes around the IM traps is "find your niche". And there is wisdom in this saying. You must decide who you are going to market or sell to - your "target market" in the beginning or you will find yourself running around in circles making no money fast.

As I said before, the range of niches are endless. When deciding on one you want to make money with, some niches are better than others. Here's some advice on "how to find a profitable niche".

Of course, the first thing you should consider is a niche that you are interested in. It just makes sense.

Next, you should see what sort of an audience there is online for your niche. Size is relative but if there is no-one at all into your niche online, then you're going to have a hard time making money.

And finally, you should check out what products or services are available that people in your niche would be likely to buy! If you have the perfect niche for you but nothing to sell to them, you won't be any richer. Don't forget, Google Adsense is a great and easy way to make money from niche web sites.


MEGA NICHES EXPLAINED

With the expansion of the internet growing everyday, people are looking for more specific information, so the niches are becoming tighter. "Mega niches" are coming into play. Instead of "ringtones" as a niche, the mega niche version of that might be something like "Jessica Simpson ringtones". Distinguishing yourself as an expert or leader in a "mega niche" is a lot easier than going for the big shot against major competition.
